David Power - Bass and Vocals

David has been singing and playing in bands since he was a teenager. He has played all sorts of music from original rock, through to folk, but has always loved blues.

David says 'It was John Mayall and The Bluesbreakers who really turned me on to the blues. When I heard that stuff I was hooked. I'm fascinated by the history of the blues too and I love hearing stuff like old Robert Johnson recordings as well as current blues players like Robert Cray and Robben Ford. Though what really gets me off in Blues at Ten is the mix of music we do, everything from older stuff, to some real stonkin' party tunes....and even some rock 'n' roll! Rock on!

Mike Morgan - Guitar and Vocals

Mike is an experienced musician from South Wales. He has travelled the UK for a number of years playing Pop, Rock and Blues in a variety of bands, playing in pubs, clubs, theatres and music festivals performing original material and covers.

David and Mike have been friends since David auditioned for 'Strand', an original rock band Mike helped form several years ago. (David was offered the job almost immediately with no real opposition from other bass players, and he had a red Transit van suitable for transportation of the group's equipment!)

Mike say's "Blues at Ten is a stonking band! Every show is a blast! Musically I think that the expression we put into our playing gives the band a real edge"

David 'Sandy' Saunderson - Drums, Percussion and Vocals

Sandy has played drums for more years than any of us care to remember, in bands as diverse as soul, cabaret, folk and R'n'B. But his first love has always been the blues.

Sandy's influences are wide ranging; from blues legends such as B.B.King and Buddy Guy through to the classic Blues/Rock of favourites such as Free, Eric Clapton and Gary Moore.

Sandy says "I love being in Blues at Ten! It's a real blast to play the music I love with such a great bunch of people.......after our very first 'blow' I thought 'Wow!....I'll have some of that!!! Great people, great musicians, great band!!!!"

Billy Craythorne - Keyboards and Vocals

Billy is a musician of outstsanding talent (his words!) and a thoroughly good-egg (our words!) His musical experience extends to playing guitar, keyboards, singing, sound engineering, teaching music and sound technology, theatre/stage management....the list seems to be endless! Billy's abilities on keyboard adds a fabulous musical 'colour' to Blues at Ten's sound.

Billy says, 'When me and my folks was a-pickin' cotton down in The Delta, we'd always be singin' to keep up our spirits........thats why I love playing in Blues at Ten, its spiritual!' (For those of you that don't know Worcester; 'The Delta' is what we call Rainbow Hill!!)

Marie McNally - Saxophone and Vocals

Originally trained as a clarinettist, when she was at University, someone gave Marie a saxophone saying ‘have a blow on this’! She never looked back.

Within two years she was gigging on sax in jazz and theatre bands around the Midlands, extending her family of saxes to soprano, alto, tenor and baritone as well as flute, and even kazoo. She still plays classically, but comments ‘the main influence on my life has got to be Courtney Pine – what an incredible range, and those dulcet tones; though the craziness of John Coltrane has not passed me by! As for Blues at Ten – it is a different move for me. I love it, the band seems to go from strength to strength, and we can sure play those blues!’
